Experiments on MovieLens with tag rating interfaces -- what happens when users can rate the tag submissions of other users?
1. Allowing just negative ratings, or positive and negative, works better than allowing just positive ratings, or not allowing ratings.
2. Normalizing by user avoids issues with a single user overusing a tag.
3. Using a tag as a search query is also an indicator of its quality.
4. Usually "bad" tag instances imply "bad" tags.

It helps undergraduates and postgraduates. People studying for PhDs or in postdoctoral (postdoc) positions.
