X Abstract

This article describes the program content of a multidisciplinary, hospital-based program for severe eating disorders. Common goals for treatment of patients with eating disorders are discussed. Details about the specific therapeutic strategies used in individual and group therapy are provided. Also, information about dietary counseling and exercise prescriptionis described. This article is the second in a two-part article. The first article (Stewart & Williamson, 2004 [this issue]) described the structural organization and costs associated with this multidisciplinary treatment program. 10.1177/0145445503259854
