AbstractAccording to the studies of cognitive psychology, object typicality plays an important role in concept representation in human cognitive process. However, computational ontologies cannot reflect the typicality of objects in concepts. Besides, context is important in measuring object typicality. In this paper, we present a formal model of context-aware ontology with multi-prototype concept and object typicality based on studies of cognitive psychology. It can tackle the problem of formalizing object typicality in context-aware ontology, which is unsolved in previous models.
