[CLOSED] Source of "Suggested Tags"?

Some of the "suggested tags" which now appear on the posting page are very unfortunate in scientific terms, grouping disparate topics. Where are they originating, and how may they be disputed before the database is messed up by them?

The suggestions are generated on the fly from a "dumb" textual analysis - they're not in the database unless someone selects them.

Notwithstanding, we're not committed to them yet, for the reason you suggest, and others.
