Felipe Ortega got in 2003 a M.S. in Telecommunications Engineering from Universidad Alfonso X El Sabio (Madrid). He is now a Ph.D. candidate in the Libresoft Group of the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos (Madrid). His current research interests include quantitative analysis of Digital Libraries, specifically Wikipedia, and the development of a decentralized (P2P) infrastructure for Digital Libraries with multimedia content. He has developed a software tool, WikiXRay, hosted by BerliOS, to automatize the quantitative analysis of Wikipedia's database dumps.
He was previously very involved in the Computer and Network Security area, first working for a Computer Security company in the banking sector, and then for a research Laboratory in the Spanish Mininstry of Defence. Today, he is still interested in this area (always very related with Libre Software) and tries to follow the 'security in mind' principle in all of his projects.
