(1999), pp. A271-A275.&lt;/i&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Different kinds of static and dynamic heterogeneity at the glass transition are discussed in relation to recent experiments. Heterogeneous lengths are distinguished from cooperative length scales - in particular, in geometrically confined systems - and these are compared with finite-size effects in computer simulations.</description>
