Abstract

Density and viscosity of tetrabutyl ammonium hydrogen sulphate and tetrabutyl ammonium chloride in water as well as in methanol have been measured at 303.15 K. Different equations proposed by Einstein, Vand, Moulik and Jones?Dole for viscosity have been applied to the experimental results. An attempt has also been made to study the solute?solute and solute?solvent interactions involved in the system and the effect of anion on cationic surfactant. Molar volumes obtained from Einstein and Vand equations are very close to each other.

CiteULike organises scholarly (or academic) papers or literature and provides bibliographic (which means it makes bibliographies) for universities and higher education establishments. It helps undergraduates and postgraduates. People studying for PhDs or in postdoctoral (postdoc) positions. The service is similar in scope to EndNote or RefWorks or any other reference manager like BibTeX, but it is a social bookmarking service for scientists and humanities researchers.
