Abstract

Electronic resources present many challenges to librarians trying to troubleshoot access problems. The involvement of multiple parties and systems demands a thorough grasp of how these elements work together to successfully diagnose a problem. Led by a panel representing libraries, publishers, and subscription agents, this preconference offered attendees an opportunity to explore best practices to resolve, if not prevent, common access failures. Through short, focused presentations and small-group exercises, attendees developed a better understanding of the workflows and information needs in the e-resources supply chain.
