AbstractThe authors investigate the 3-way interaction between perceptual multimedia quality, eye-gaze location, and frame rates. Perceptual multimedia quality was assessed using the quality-of-perception (QoP) measure, which incorporated not only the user's ability to analyze, understand, and synthesize the informational content of a presentation, but also user subjective satisfaction with the presentation. Both QoP and median eye-tracking data were examined across multiple frame rates to analyze the impact that varied frame rates had on user perception and video eye path.
