X Abstract

This article describes a study on the usage of a search engine, focusing on the traffic details at the level of countries and continents. The main objective is to understand how the users behave, based on the geographic location of the host in which the search originates, and the geographic location of the host of the clicked URL. We present a set of hypothesis, that combine the information extracted from the query log and statistics about countries and their relationships, to help understand usage behavior.
