A critique of femininity, the site attempts to evoke specifically female experience in a manner supposedly intent on reaching a female viewer. However, the depictions are decidedly singular, and the suggestion of one kind of 'female' experience reinforces much of what 'third wave' feminism critiques. Questions of race sexual preference are elided; gender itself seems to be reinforced rather than deconstructed. from rhizome: A work about intimacy and attitudes in front of the computer screen. I want to tell you a story. Males might think it is about 'desire', females will tell you it's about the painful change from adolescence to being adult. (flash6 sound on)
