X Abstract

This is a collection of contributed papers by former collaborators andcolleagues of Claudio Bunster (formerly Teitelboim). The topics includeGeneral Relativity, Quantum Gravity, String Theory; from historical reviews tocurrent research; from mathematical structures underlying the fundamentalinteractions, to cosmological scenarios describing the universe at its birth. Each contribution covers a topic in a self-contained manner, including all thereferences and illustrations to make it easy to read separately. The volumecovers a number of important topics in theoretical physics of the last 30years. Many of the seeds of string theory like supergravity, the AdS/CFTcorrespondence, p-form fields, electric-magnetic dualities, were discoveredfirst in the context of gravitation by Bunster and his collaborators. Thisvolume is rooted in this tradition and makes it an interesting source fortheoretical physicists engaged in current research.

CiteULike organises scholarly (or academic) papers or literature and provides bibliographic (which means it makes bibliographies) for universities and higher education establishments. It helps undergraduates and postgraduates. People studying for PhDs or in postdoctoral (postdoc) positions. The service is similar in scope to EndNote or RefWorks or any other reference manager like BibTeX, but it is a social bookmarking service for scientists and humanities researchers.
