The problem posed here is similar to our problem. The example given is a place setting. It also expresses the idea of high level interpretation as well as aggregation in order to achieve this. I think this something that we should think about/consider for our project. Where reasoning as well as capture is at several levels, so one can zoom in and out. This could work for reasoning in that a query of first highlevel and secondly lower level areas may be able to be done faster then all reasoning over the entire area. They use description logic for the reasoner, so I need to investigate the details of their approach see how it would work within our approach.
