<i>This article discusses a set of highly structured psychoeducational family-of-origin activities for preventive, growth, theme, or remedial groups. The activities are useful in school and university counseling settings as well as in community agencies. The activities highlight several important themes drawn from family systems therapy: the family of origin as a system, family organization, family communication, and family change. The article presents a rationale for using structured group work to focus on family of origin. Descriptions of the activities include goals, scripts for psychoeducational content for the leader to introduce, questions to facilitate exercises in rounds that promote relating family-origin concepts to the lives of the group members, and questions to facilitate group processing</i>.
