Abstractthis report. A brief comparison with some recently introduced Petri Net oriented techniques is done, in order to show that the technique is at least as e#cient as state of the art. Finally, a number of areas for future work are identified. 2 Chapter 1 Introduction Traditional methodologies that have been applied to embedded systems were built in a separately development of each part, hardware and software, and a final integration based on ad hoc methods. This increases mainly two financial parameters of the final product, time-to-market and cost. Using hardware/software co-design the designer exploits the flexible boundary that exist between hardware and software in a electronic system design (ESD), through a concurrent design of both parts.
