X Abstract

A method for prediction of rain attenuation in terrestrial links is developed using data from measurements carried out in tropical regions, together with a larger data set from temperate climates, previously available. The proposed method uses the complete rainfall rate cumulative probability distribution as input data and shows significant improvement in prediction accuracy.
