DART is integrated into Macromedia Director and is written in Lingo, Director's interpreted scripting language.

It supports sketched contect during early design. It is designed from the lowest level to support Wizard-of-Oz simulation of sensors and experience logic.

DART allows the designers to use video and captured sensor data for debugging purposes instead of using realtime data.

DART was implemented to fit in with and follow the work flow in Director. The paper gives an overview of how Director is used.
