Differentiated Services is an Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) standards effort to create a simple scheme which provides a range of quality of service (QoS) levels. It is one of the few technologies to date that will enable networks to handle traffic in a specific manner to meet the service demands of particular applications. This book offers network architects, engineers, and managers of Internet and other packet networks critical insight into the continuing development of Differentiated Services.
