X Abstract

The solution to a coupled system of partial differential equations involving a general linear time-independent operator L is presented. Examples of these equations include coupled diffusion equations or coupled convection-dispersion equations. The solution consists of a convolution of the Green's function appropriate for the operator L and a function independent of the operator L. The method enables one to write software to calculate the solution to a wide range of problems. The change of solution upon changing the problem often only involves a substitution of the Green's function. A specific example of physical significance is given. 10.1093/imamat/38.1.35

CiteULike organises scholarly (or academic) papers or literature and provides bibliographic (which means it makes bibliographies) for universities and higher education establishments. It helps undergraduates and postgraduates. People studying for PhDs or in postdoctoral (postdoc) positions. The service is similar in scope to EndNote or RefWorks or any other reference manager like BibTeX, but it is a social bookmarking service for scientists and humanities researchers.
