X Abstract

The article deals with the decision of Wikipedia's volunteer editorial group to retain the original cover of the controversial album "Virgin Killer" by the Scorpions on its site. Some groups are saying the decision constitutes harboring child pornography and are calling for its removal. The picture in question depicts a very young, nearly nude girl in a suggestive pose. According to Wikimedia's head of communications, Jay Walsh, media censorship groups do not understand the unique nature of how the Wikipedia community defines appropriate content.
