Abstract

Protein folding/unfolding reaction, as any other chemical reaction, is accompanied by heat effects. The heat of unfolding measured at a constant pressure represents the enthalpy of the process. Direct measurements of the heat of unfolding are done using differential scanning calorimetry (DSC).
