X Abstract

This paper presents the application of Orthogonal frequency domain modulation-Continuous Phase Modulation (OFDM-CPM) in multipath Standard University Interim (SUI) channels. It is shown that, in addition to OdB Peak to Average Power Ratio (PAPR) and power efficiency, uncoded OFDM-CPM exploits the frequency diversity of multipath channel. Taking into account the Input Power Backoff (IBO), OFDM-CPM is shown to outperform OFDM at high bit energy-to-noise density ratios (Eb/N0). However, at low Signal to Noise Ratio (SNR), the OFDM-CPM phase demodulator receiver suffers from a threshold effect. Simulation results in SUI channels confirm the analysis.

CiteULike organises scholarly (or academic) papers or literature and provides bibliographic (which means it makes bibliographies) for universities and higher education establishments. It helps undergraduates and postgraduates. People studying for PhDs or in postdoctoral (postdoc) positions. The service is similar in scope to EndNote or RefWorks or any other reference manager like BibTeX, but it is a social bookmarking service for scientists and humanities researchers.
