X Abstract

Uustalu and Vene use comonads to separate the dataflow and nondataflow aspects of an interpreter for a dataflow language. I show that this separation can be achieved more simply if an applicative functor is used instead of a comonad. Applicative functors have recently been described by McBride and Paterson. 1
