X Abstract

Abstract  A model of a free nonrelativistic particle of arbitrary spin in the configurational manifold consisting of space-time ×2-sphere is proposed. The particle mass and spin are conserved at the relation surface, while the physical subspace coincides with a coorbital of the Galileo group. It is shown that, in the background field, the equations of motion of a nonrelativistic particle are always consistent, regardless of the number of nontrivial gage symmetries of the model. The massless limit of a Galileo particle with spin corresponding to a degenerate coorbital is considered. It is shown that quantization of a massless particle leads to the description of helicity in terms of coherent states of theSO (3) group.

CiteULike organises scholarly (or academic) papers or literature and provides bibliographic (which means it makes bibliographies) for universities and higher education establishments. It helps undergraduates and postgraduates. People studying for PhDs or in postdoctoral (postdoc) positions. The service is similar in scope to EndNote or RefWorks or any other reference manager like BibTeX, but it is a social bookmarking service for scientists and humanities researchers.
