X Abstract

PMID: 19852471 We report on the use of a diversity oriented synthesis (DOS) approach that resulted in the generation of a set of libraries of compounds presenting novel structural cores. These chemical cores have been employed to design potential antagonists of the antiapoptotic protein Bcl-xL through reiterated steps of molecular docking calculations followed by experimental verification of binding. Our data suggest that the DOS approach is suitable to generate novel scaffolds, which can be employed to target protein−protein interactions.

CiteULike organises scholarly (or academic) papers or literature and provides bibliographic (which means it makes bibliographies) for universities and higher education establishments. It helps undergraduates and postgraduates. People studying for PhDs or in postdoctoral (postdoc) positions. The service is similar in scope to EndNote or RefWorks or any other reference manager like BibTeX, but it is a social bookmarking service for scientists and humanities researchers.
