AbstractThe refraction and reflection of a Bessel beam by an uniaxial crystal is analyzed in detail. Use is made of a compact mathematical formalism describing the propagation of structured electromagnetic waves impinging at arbitrary angles on a plane interface. Numerical results showing the evolution of optical phase and vector vortices are presented, and the non-conservation of local angular momentum is discussed.
