Abstract

In this paper we propose a novel chain scoring (chain selecting) method to enhance the performance of Lexical Chain algorithm in query-focused summarization and present an information filtering strategy to adapt Lexical Chain method to update-style summarization. Experiments on DUC2007 datasets demonstrate the encouraging performance.
