AbstractHypertext theory and criticism is an emerging and exciting area of research. To facilitate research in hypertext studies, however, there are not many scholarly bibliographies available, especially annotated bibliographies. The present annotated bibliography fills that need with books, book chapters, journal articles, and scholarly reports on hypertext projects covering a wide range of issues significant to literary theory and criticism and their relationship to hypertext theory. Providing critical introductions to the ideas and insights of leading hypertext theorists and practitioners, the annotations in this bibliography will be helpful to scholars and researchers in the field.
