Introduce the concept of straight and curved usability. A concession to designs where the experience is not best served by totally straight rule following. People are mostly not constrained by telephone charges for modem dial up so their experience with websites is quite changed.

They recommend using groups of users to test the site several times during development. References to Nielsen's heuristics related to developing guidelines for design rather than evaluation of usability
