Abstract

The applications of rules engine technology is explored in network fault management system, aiming at the needs of network fault management system design. It is put forward that open-source rules engine Drools is applied to the alarm correlation analysis of network fault management system, choosing the method of the rule-based reasoning. On the concrete realization, the correlation rule is obtained in the way of the data excavation first, and categorized saving in the rule database, then the rules engine object is established through the API provided by the rule engine, and added to the rule database. The purpose of the correlation analysis processing of alarm example is carried out automatically. Network fault management system based rule engine Drools has the most expansibility, flexibility and manageability.
