This paper highlights the overall Staphylinidae assemblages in various habitat types, namely primary forest, logged forest, Acacia plantation and oil palm plantation. A total of 396 morphospecies from 2,354 individuals representing ten subfamilies were sampled through Winkler traps, flight-interception-trapping (FIT) and mist-blowing. Aleocharinae was the most prominent subfamily and many specimens were sampled through FIT. The staphylinids were far more speciose and abundant in the forested habitats than the plantations. Species composition in the Acacia plantation, however, showed much similarity with that of the logged forest.
