X Abstract

Simulated annealing is shown to be a powerful method to fitting curves. This method is particularly appropriate to fit curves with discontinuous derivatives where the traditional methods fail. Recent generalizations of the simulated annealing method enable easy and efficient implementation on microcomputers.
