The article reports on the advantages of joining forces with another company with complementary innovation goals during recessionary times. Open innovation is about connecting with others to find new ideas and, often, to co-develop and co-market them. The big-name player involved in open innovation efforts include the Dossia consortium, Continental Automated Buildings Association (CABA) and Netflix.
