X Abstract

This paper describes the application of a noninvasive electrical impedance method to evaluate skin irritation. The impedance method is based on a current response to a voltage step excitation. The skin irritation was induced on volar forearm of 20 subjects by sodium lauryl sulphate dissolved in distilled water at concentration of 5.0%. The impedance parameters obtained before the application of irritant and after its removal were statistically difference. The results showed that the impedance parameters can detect the presence of oedema induced by irritation.

CiteULike organises scholarly (or academic) papers or literature and provides bibliographic (which means it makes bibliographies) for universities and higher education establishments. It helps undergraduates and postgraduates. People studying for PhDs or in postdoctoral (postdoc) positions. The service is similar in scope to EndNote or RefWorks or any other reference manager like BibTeX, but it is a social bookmarking service for scientists and humanities researchers.
