X Abstract

Abstract  Decision Makers (DM) should know how to allocate information technology in their organizations. Multicriteria methods can be used to analyze decisions dealing with this problem. This paper provides the use of systemic approach to reduce the level of uncertainty prevalent in this type of decisions; thus, we use multicriteria aid decision making to solve this complex problem. Using also mathematical programming (0,1), having as input those conditions resulting from the multicriteria results, it is possible to allocate easier the different strategic, tactic and operational Information Systems into organization’s IT structure. We will utilize as case study the needs in IT by several Research and Development teams working within the framework of a University.
