X Abstract

In this paper, we propose an off-line algorithm calledTRACKIE to estimate trajectories of mobile nodes based onencounter information. This method only assumes reasonablenumber of landmarks and ad-hoc wireless communicationfacility of mobile nodes, and does not rely on multi-hopad-hoc networks nor global positioning system. The methodachieves low-cost estimation of trajectories and providesaccurate solution (the average estimation error was lessthan 40% of the wireless range in simulations). We haveevaluated TRACKIE with Micaz Mote and shown that estimationerror is about 2m in real environments where wirelessrange is about 3m.

CiteULike organises scholarly (or academic) papers or literature and provides bibliographic (which means it makes bibliographies) for universities and higher education establishments. It helps undergraduates and postgraduates. People studying for PhDs or in postdoctoral (postdoc) positions. The service is similar in scope to EndNote or RefWorks or any other reference manager like BibTeX, but it is a social bookmarking service for scientists and humanities researchers.
