Michael Anderson reviews Michael Wheeler's "Reconstructing the CognitiveWorld: The Next Step". The book summarizes how the Heideggerian context-sensitive view of cognition is different from the traditional view. It also gives a good history of the field and concludes with points on what the philosophical foundations of situated cognition could be.
