X Abstract

In the present paper the fatigue crack initiation is studied for welded joints and notched CT specimens made of mild steels. The experimental results are analysed by the notch stress intensity factor Kvarrho, ? criterion which depends on the notch angle ? and on the acuity varrho. This criterion allows a conservative design of structures.
