X Abstract

A methodological procedure is outlined which addresses several issues concerning descriptive models of individual human decision-making: whether or not the focal model is [`]adequate', [`]too complex', and [`]acceptable'. This methodology for iterative model development and validation is illustrated on three successive computer simulation models of three subjects each making nine different decisions under uncertainty. The methodology demonstrates why the third model is judged to be adequate, not too complex, and acceptable.
