Abstract

Excited terminal states of bound exciton complexes in CdSe have been studied. From these studies, information relating to donor impurities in this material has been gained. Donor ionization energies of 0.018 eV were calculated from the effective-mass approximation. Using an electron effective mass of 0.13me gives a good theoretical fit to the n=2 magnetically field-split levels using the model of Wheeler and Dimmock. This mass value agrees well with the electron effective mass determined by Wheeler and Dimmock for the free-exciton case in CdSe.

CiteULike organises scholarly (or academic) papers or literature and provides bibliographic (which means it makes bibliographies) for universities and higher education establishments. It helps undergraduates and postgraduates. People studying for PhDs or in postdoctoral (postdoc) positions. The service is similar in scope to EndNote or RefWorks or any other reference manager like BibTeX, but it is a social bookmarking service for scientists and humanities researchers.
