AbstractThe authors present an interesting method for optimal placement of PMUs to enable, according to the title, bad data detection. In fact, the proposed placement algorithm tends to improve the redundancy level of the measurement set. Bad data detection usually is improved with higher levels of redundancy. In order to propose the algorithm for optimal placement of PMUs, the authors clearly use results that have already been published in the power system literature even though no citations to those results were included at all.
