Very early on in this field. Details recent morpho/neurological studies that correlate male song elaboration with brain development. Also talks about acrocephalus warblers--several species demonstrate preference for large repertoires. Males with large repertoires also seem to have highest number of successfully fledged and recruited young (which may indicate quality to females).
