X Abstract

A new method for Feature Subset Selection in Machine Learning, FSS-EBNA (Feature Subset Selection by Estimation of Bayesian Network Algorithm), is presented. FSS-EBNA is an evolutionary, population-based, randomized search algorithm, and it can be executed when domain knowledge is not available. A wrapper approach, over Naive-Bayes and ID3 learning algorithms, is used to evaluate the goodness of each visited solution. FSS-EBNA, based on the EDA (Estimation of Distribution Algorithm) paradigm,...

CiteULike organises scholarly (or academic) papers or literature and provides bibliographic (which means it makes bibliographies) for universities and higher education establishments. It helps undergraduates and postgraduates. People studying for PhDs or in postdoctoral (postdoc) positions. The service is similar in scope to EndNote or RefWorks or any other reference manager like BibTeX, but it is a social bookmarking service for scientists and humanities researchers.
